Would Richard Nixon Vote For Donald Trump?

We can’t say for certain, but there’s a pretty good chance Richard Nixon would join the list of other former presidents who don’t support Donald Trump. Nixon’s response during a 1960 debate with John F. Kennedy insinuates that if he were alive today, he might not support the Republican nominee. One can only imagine what he might say about Hillary Clinton.

“Whoever is president is going to a man who all the children of America will either look up to or will look down to,” Nixon said. Then he said that he was proud the Eisenhower restored dignity to the presidency because “whenever any mother or father talks to his child, he can look at the man in the White House and whatever he may think of his policies, he will say ‘well there is a man who maintains the kind of standards personally that I would want my child to follow.'”

The irony is overwhelming.

Yes, I want to sound marginally more intelligent:
